Weight: 13.5 Kg Description The Contessa Spark 730 Women’s Full Suspension Mountain Bike relies on the same suspension designs as its pedigreed carbon brethren but in a budget friendly, all-alloy package. The brand-new frame is precision built from a custom butted, hydroformed alloy which is incredibly lightweight and strong. The Contessa Spark 730 comes fully equipped with a custom X-Fusion Nude Trunnion rear shock and TwinLoc technology, in combination with traction control, allowing for three travel/geometry settings. Drive comes in the form of a Shimano Deore/SLX 2×10 speed drivetrain which provides exceptional shift quality and further enhances the bikes low weight characteristics. Scott have selected Shimano M365 disc brakes for this model to offer powerful and progressive braking in all weather conditions. The Contessa Spark 730 is designed around a wheel size of 27.5 inches, on this model they come in the form of Syncros tubeless ready rims complemented with a pair of Maxxis Forekaster tires which offer fantastic levels of grip and are great for adding that little more confidence to push yourself further. Additionally, the bike is stunningly finished with a host of premium Syncros components that will make any rider feel like they can go toe to toe with the world’s finest.åÊåÊåÊåÊ åÊ Contessa Series For 25 years Scott have been designing bikes specifically for women, they call this range Contessa. The 2017 line-up is the strongest yet and features women’s specific geometries and components designed and tested by women for women. Scott worked with FOX to develop a suspension set up to cater for the different needs of a lighter rider and create a smoother rebound and a tailored ride. Several bikes in the range feature Contessa Solution Geometry to offer more comfort, stability and confidence. One of the main features of this is a bended top-tube which allows a lower stand-over height providing more versatility and convenience. Additionally, the top tube is shorter than the men’s models to offer a more upright and comfortable position. Spark 700 Series The Scott Spark 700 series uses a 27.5 inch wheel standard and is one of the best overall cross-country full suspension bikes of all time. To continue this successful pedigree into 2017 Scott have developed a new platform that includes not only a lighter frame and suspension system but also optimized kinematics. One of the main design changes is the move from a single pivot top link design to a single pivot rocker link layout with a Trunnion shock mount. Due to the new design Scott have been able to achieve suspension characteristics that weren’t possible before. The shock forces being transferred differently to the older models has helped contributed to the design of a lighter frame, the top of the line model is less than 1800 grams with rear shock – making it one of the lightest full suspension frames available on the market. For added stability the new platform features a slacker head angle and for improved handling shorter chain stays have been constructed. To create a more planted feel the Spark features a lower stand over height/centre of gravity. The range includes a wealth of small but incredibly detailed technical solutions that come together to make this one of the finest packages ever created ÛÒ suitable for everyday riders and endurance racers alike. About Scott Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the world’s first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. After moving through motocross the first mountain bike model was launched in 1986, whilst the 1989 Tour De France saw the debut of the aerodynamic handlebar that famously helped Greg Lemond to claim the yellow jersey from the late Laurent Fignon in the legendary final time trial on the cobbles of the Champs-ÌälysÌ©es. The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the world’s first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000. Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available. Pioneers of Carbon Fibre in both road and mountain applications; the CR1 and IMP production techniques coupled with exclusive HMF and HMX carbon fibre grades allow for some of the lightest and strongest bikes on the market today, whilst innovative frame design and close links with leading component manufacturers such as DT Swiss ensure that all Scott bikes perform flawlessly at all levels.
